Abstract

In March 2019 the city of Jambi experienced inflation of 0.33 percent and Kota Muara Bungo inflation of 0.35 percent. The Jambi City Consumer Price Index (CPI) amounted to 133.94 and the Muara Bungo City Consumer Price Index (CPI) was recorded at 133.40.
Inflation in Jambi City occurred in 6 (six) groups of goods and services due to an increase in the index, and inflation in Muara Bungo City occurred in 6 (six) groups of goods and services due to an increase in the index.
The inflation rate for calendar year 1 in Jambi City this month was -0.47 percent, and the inflation rate of "year on year" 2 was 1.83 percent. While the inflation rate for the Muara Bungo City calendar this month was 0.43 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate was 2.46 percent.
Of the 23 cities in Sumatra that calculated CPI, as many as 16 (sixteen) cities experienced inflation. The highest inflation in Sumatra occurred in the city of Meulaboh by 0.39 percent and the lowest occurred in Dumai City by 0.07 percent. Of the 82 cities that calculated CPI in Indonesia, 51 (fifty one) cities experienced inflation. The highest inflation in Ambon City was 0.86 percent and the lowest was in the cities of Bekasi and Tangerang, each at 0.01 percent.
