Abstract

In January 2018 Kota Jambi experienced inflation of 0.91 percent and Kota Muara Bungo inflation of 0.25 percent. The Consumer Price Index (CPI) of Jambi City was 131.81 and the Consumer Price Index (CPI) of Muara Bungo City was recorded at 129.96.
• Inflation in Kota Jambi occurred in 5 (five) categories of goods and services expenditure and inflation in Kota Muara Bungo occurred in 6 (six) groups of goods and services expenditure due to the increase in index.
• The rate of inflation in calendar year1 of Jambi City this month was 0.91 percent, and the year-on-year inflation rate was 3.36 percent. While the inflation rate of calendar year of Muara Bungo this month is 0.25 percent and inflation rate "year on year" is 3.66 percent
• Of the 23 cities in Sumatra that calculated the CPI, 21 (twenty one) cities experienced inflation. The highest inflation in Sumatra occurred in Bandar Lampung at 1.42 percent and the lowest was in Tanjung Pinang at 0.18 percent. Of 82 cities that calculated CPI in Indonesia, 79 (seventy nine) cities experienced inflation. The highest inflation in Bandar Lampung was 1.42 percent and the lowest was in Tangerang City by 0.04 percent.

October 2019, Jambi City inflation 0.11 percent and Muara Bungo City deflation 0.18 percent.

February 2020, Jambi City inflation 0.75 percent and Kota Muara Bungo inflation 0.36 percent.
