Abstract
• In September 2018, Jambi City a deflation of 0.53 percent and Muara Bungo
City inflation by 0.01 percent. The Jambi City Consumer Price Index (CPI) is
131.91 and Muara Bungo City Consumer Price Index (CPI) is recorded at 131.25.
• Deflation in the City of Jambi occurred in 1 (one) group of goods and
services expenditures due to a decrease in the index, and inflation in Muara
Bungo City occurred in 6 (six) groups of goods and services expenditures due to
an increase in the index.
• The inflation rate for the calendar year1 of Jambi City this month was
0.99 percent, and the year-on-year inflation rate was 3.43 percent. While the
inflation rate for Muara Bungo City calendar this month was 1.24 percent and
the year-on-year inflation rate was 2.56 percent.
• Of the 23 cities in Sumatra that calculated CPI, 7 (seven) cities
experienced inflation. The highest inflation in Sumatra occurred in Bengkulu
City by 0.59 percent and the lowest occurred in Bungo City by 0.01 percent. Of
82 cities that calculate CPI in Indonesia, a total of 16 (sixteen) cities
experienced inflation. The highest inflation in Bengkulu City was 0.59 percent
and the lowest was in Bungo City by 0.01 percent.
