Abstract

In September 2019 Jambi City experienced deflation of 0.24 percent and Muara Bungo City deflation of 0.44 percent. Jambi City Consumer Price Index (CPI) is 135.83 and Muara Bungo City Consumer Price Index (CPI) is 136.96.
Deflation in Jambi City occurred in 3 (three) groups of goods and services expenditure due to a decrease in index, and deflation in Muara Bungo City occurred in 1 (one) group of goods and services expenditure due to a decrease in index.
The inflation rate of the Jambi City calendar1 this month was 0.94 percent, and the "year on year" 2 inflation rate was 2.97 percent. While the inflation rate for the Muara Bungo calendar year this month was 3.11 percent and the year on year inflation rate was 4.35 percent
From 23 cities in Sumatra that calculate CPI, 4 cities experience inflation. The highest inflation in Sumatra occurred in Meulaboh by 0.91 percent and the lowest occurred in Pangkal Pinang City by 0.09 percent. Of the 82 cities that calculate CPI in Indonesia, 12 (twelve) cities experience inflation. The highest inflation was in Meulaboh by 0.91 percent and the lowest was in Watampone and Palopo by 0.01 percent respectively.
