Abstract

  • The economy of Jambi Province based on the amount of Gross Regional Domestic Product (PDRB) at current prices in the second quarter of 2018 reached Rp51 928 billion and based on constant 2010 prices reached Rp35 330 billion.
  • Jambi Province's economy in the second quarter of 2018 grew 4.70 percent (y-on-y). In terms of production, growth was driven by almost all business fields, with the highest growth achieved by the Information and Communication Business Sector which grew 8.28 percent. In terms of Expenditures, the highest growth was achieved by the Net Export Component which grew by 30.89 percent.
  • Jambi Province's economy in the second quarter of 2018 increased by 1.94 percent (q-to-q). In terms of production, the highest growth in the Wholesale and Retail Trade Business Field was 5.98 percent. While the expenditure side was achieved by the Component of Consumption of Non-Profit Institutions that Serve Households which increased significantly by 6.59 percent.
  • Cumulatively (c-to-c), the semester I-2018 economic growth in Jambi Province reached 4.66 percent, faster than the first semester of 2017 which reached 4.62 percent. The highest growth in the production side by the Information and Communication business sector was 8.46 percent. While on the expenditure side, Expenditures of Non-Profit Household Institutions (LNPRT) grew by 5.86 percent.
  • The economic structure of Jambi Province in the second quarter of 2018 was dominated by Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries which contributed the most to GRDP, which was 27.35 percent. While on the expenditure side, GRDP is widely used for the Household Consumption Components and Gross Fixed Capital Formation (PMTB), each at 44.34 percent and 21.68 percent.
