Abstract

  • The economy of Jambi Province based on the amount of Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) based on current prices in the second quarter of 2019 reached Rp54 324 billion and at the base of constant prices in 2010 reached Rp37 034 billion.
  • The economy of Jambi Province in the second quarter of 2019 grew 4.82 percent (y-on-y). From the production side, growth was driven by almost all business fields, with the highest growth being achieved by the Construction Business Field which grew 9.96 percent. In terms of expenses, the highest growth was achieved by the Non-Profit Institutional Consumption Expenditure Component Serving Households, which grew by 12.85 percent.
  • The economy of Jambi Province in the second quarter of 2019 grew by 2.19 percent (q-to-q). In terms of production, the highest growth was in the Field of Government Administration, Defense and Compulsory Social Security at 8.91 percent. While in terms of expenditure achieved by the Government Consumption Expenditure Component which increased significantly by 92.58 percent.
  • The economy of Jambi Province in the second quarter of 2019 (c-to-c) grew 4.69 percent. From the production side, growth was driven by almost all fields of business, with the highest growth coming from Wholesale and Retail Trade; Car and Motorcycle Repair is 9.51 percent. Meanwhile, in terms of expenditure, it was mainly driven by the Consumption Expenditure Component of Non-Profit Institutions Serving Households, which grew by 15.55 percent.
  • The economic structure of Jambi Province in the second quarter of 2019 was dominated by Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries which gave the largest contribution to the GRDP, which amounted to 27.41 percent. While on the expenditure side, the GRDP is widely used for the Household Consumption Expenditure Component of 44.00 percent.
