Economic growth of Jambi Province Quarter I-2018

Abstract

The economy of Jambi Province based on Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at current prices in quarter I-2018 reached Rp50 084 billion and based on constant 2010 prices reached Rp34 672 billion.
The economy of Jambi Province in the first quarter of 2018 grew by 4.66 percent (y-on-y). In terms of production, growth is driven by almost all business fields, with the highest growth achieved Construction Business Field which grew 9.16 percent. From the expenditure side, the highest growth was achieved by the Net Export component that grew by 30.89 percent.
The economy of Jambi Province in the first quarter of 2018 slowed by -1.96 percent (q-to-q). In terms of production, the highest growth in Mining and Quarrying Fields was 3.21 percent. While from expenditure side achieved by Non-Profitable Household Consumption Expenditure Component which Serves Household which increased significantly equal to 2.07 percent.
The economic structure of Jambi Province in the first quarter of 2018 was dominated by Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries which contributed the most to GRDP, which was 28.78 percent. Followed by Mining and Quarrying of 19.28 percent. While on the expenditure side, PDRB is mostly used for Household Consumption Spending Component and Gross Fixed Capital Formation (PMTB), each of 44.34 percent and 21.68 percent.
