Abstract

In April 2018 Kota Jambi experienced inflation of 0.21 percent and Muara Bungo City inflation of 0.18 percent. The Consumer Price Index (CPI) of Jambi City was 131.81 and the Consumer Price Index (CPI) of Muara Bungo City was recorded at 130.44.
Inflation in Jambi City occurred in 7 (seven) groups of goods and services expenditure and inflation in Kota Muara Bungo occurred in 6 (six) groups of goods and services expenditure due to an increase in index.
The inflation rate of calendar year1 of Jambi City this month was 0.91 percent, and the inflation rate "year on year" 2 was 3.89 percent. Meanwhile, the inflation rate of calendar year of Muara Bungo this month is 0.62 percent and the inflation rate "year on year" is 2.96 percent
Of the 23 cities in Sumatra that calculate the CPI, as many as 13 (thirteen) cities experienced inflation. The highest inflation in Sumatra occurred in Pangkal Pinang at 1.01 percent and the lowest occurred in Padang City by 0.01 percent. Of 82 cities that calculated CPI in Indonesia, as many as 54 (fifty four) cities experienced inflation. The highest inflation in Merauke City was 1.32 percent and the lowest was in Kota Padang and Kota Kudus at 0.01 percent.
