Abstract

In October 2018 the city of Jambi experienced inflation of 0.88 percent and Kota Muara Bungo inflation of 0.51 percent. The City of Jambi Consumer Price Index (CPI) is 133.07 and the Muara Bungo City Consumer Price Index (CPI) is 131.92.

Inflation in Jambi City occurred in 6 (six) groups of goods and services due to an increase in the index, as well as inflation in the city of Muara Bungo occurred in all groups of goods and services due to an increase in the index.

The inflation rate for the calendar year 1 of Jambi City this month was 1.88 percent, and the inflation rate for "year on year" 2 was 4.28 percent. While the inflation rate for the Muara Bungo City calendar this month was 1.76 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate was 2.51 percent.

Of the 23 cities in Sumatra that calculated CPI, 19 (nineteen) cities experienced inflation. The highest inflation in Sumatra occurred in Medan at 1.44 percent and the lowest occurred in Bandar Lampung at 0.02 percent. Of the 82 cities that calculated CPI in Indonesia, 66 (sixty-six) cities experienced inflation. The highest inflation in Palu City was 2.27 percent and the lowest was in Kota Cilegon by 0.01 percent.
