Abstract

In March 2018 Kota Jambi experienced inflation of 0.63 percent and Muara Bungo City inflation of 0.32 percent. The Consumer Price Index (CPI) of Jambi City was 131.53 and the Consumer Price Index (CPI) of Muara Bungo City was recorded at 130.20.
Inflation in Jambi City occurred in 5 (five) groups of goods and services expenditure and inflation in Kota Muara Bungo occurred in 5 (five) groups of goods and services expenditure due to an increase in index.
The inflation rate for calendar year1 of Jambi City this month was 0.70 percent, and the inflation rate "year on year" 2 was 4.28 percent. While the inflation rate of calendar year of Muara Bungo this month is 0.43 percent and inflation rate "year on year" is 3.15 percent.
Of the 23 cities in Sumatra that calculate the CPI, as many as 19 (nineteen) cities experienced inflation. The highest inflation in Sumatra occurred in Tembilahan Town of 1.38 percent and the lowest occurred in Dumai City by 0.05 percent. Of 82 cities that calculated CPI in Indonesia, 57 (fifty seven) cities experienced inflation. The highest inflation in Jayapura City was 2.10 percent and the lowest was in Kota Sumenep at 0.01 percent.
