Abstract

  • In February 2018 the city of Jambi experienced deflation of 0.83 percent and Muara Bungo deflation was 0.13 percent. The Consumer Price Index (CPI) of Jambi City was 130.71 and the Consumer Price Index (CPI) of Muara Bungo City was recorded at 129.79.
  • Deflation in Jambi City occurred in 3 (three) expenditure groups of goods and services and deflation in Muara Bungo City occurred in 2 (two) groups of goods and services expenditure due to decreasing index.
  • The inflation rate for calendar year1 of Jambi City this month was 0.07 percent, and the year-on-year inflation rate was 3.95 percent. While the inflation rate of calendar year of Muara Bungo this month is 0.12 percent and inflation rate "year on year" is 3.55 percent
  • Of the 23 cities in Sumatra that calculated the CPI, as many as 3 (three) cities experienced inflation. The highest inflation in Sumatra occurred in Metro City of 0.19 percent and the lowest occurred in Bandar Lampung by 0.06 percent. Of 82 cities that calculated CPI in Indonesia, 55 (fifty five) cities experienced inflation. The highest inflation in Jayapura City was 1.05 percent and the lowest in Palangkaraya by 0.04 percent.
