Abstract

Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) of Jambi Province in May 2019 amounted to 99.18 or up 0.34 percent compared to the previous month's NTP. The increase in NTP is due to the Farmer Received Price Index (It) which rose by 1.18 percent while the Farmer Paid Price Index (Ib) rose by 0.84 percent.
As of May 2019, Jambi Province's NTP for each subsector was recorded at 101.19 for the Food Crops sub-sector (NTPP); 90.59 for the Horticulture subsector (NTPH); 100.22 for the Community Plantation Crop Sub-sector (NTPR); 100.60 for the Livestock subsector (NTPT) and 105.67 for the Fisheries subsector (NTNP) consisting of Capture Fisheries (NTN) of 113.13 and Aquaculture (NTPi) of 97.63.
Rural inflation in Jambi Province was recorded at 1.02 percent. Inflation occurs in six household consumption groups, namely the Foodstuffs group; group of processed foods, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco; Housing group; clothing group; the Health group and the Transportation and Communication group. There is one group of household consumption that does not experience changes in the price index, namely the Education, Recreation and Sports group
The Exchange Rate of Agricultural Household Businesses (NTUP) in Jambi Province in May 2019 amounted to 107.41, up 1.02 percent compared to NTUP the previous month.
