Abstract

In May 2019 the city of Jambi experienced inflation of 0.38 percent and the City of Muara Bungo inflation of 1.60 percent. The Jambi City Consumer Price Index (CPI) is 135.27 and the Muara Bungo City Consumer Price Index (CPI) is 136.14.
Inflation in Jambi City occurred in 6 (six) groups of goods and services due to an increase in the index, and inflation in the city of Muara Bungo occurred in 7 (seven) groups of goods and services due to an increase in the index.
The inflation rate for calendar year 1 in Jambi City this month was 0.52 percent, and the inflation rate for "year on year" 2 was 2.74 percent. While the inflation rate for the Muara Bungo City calendar this month was 2.49 percent and the inflation rate for "year on year" was 4.22 percent
Of the 23 cities in Sumatra that calculated CPI, all experienced inflation. The highest inflation in Sumatra occurred in the city of Pangkal Pinang at 1.78 percent and the lowest occurred in the city of Tanjung Pandan by 0.21 percent. Of the 82 cities that calculated CPI in Indonesia, 81 (eighty one) cities experienced inflation. The highest inflation in Tual City was 2.91 percent and the lowest was in Kota Kediri by 0.05 percent.
