Abstract

  • Farmers' Exchange Rate (NTP) in Jambi Province in February 2019 was 99.38, up 1.40 percent compared to the previous month's NTP. The increase in NTP was due to the Farmer Accepted Price Index (It) which rose by 0.93 percent while the Farmer Paid Price Index (Ib) fell by 0.47 percent.
  • In February 2019, Jambi Province's NTP for each subsector was recorded at 104.62 for the Food Crops sub-sector (NTPP); 88.40 for the Horticulture subsector (NTPH); 100,17 for the People's Plantation Crop Sub-sector (NTPR); 99.96 for the Livestock subsector (NTPT) and 106.42 for the Fisheries sub-sector (NTNP) consisting of Capture Fisheries (NTN) of 114.79 and Aquaculture (NTPi) of 97.41.
  • Rural deflation in Jambi Province was recorded at 0.65 percent. Deflation occurred in two household consumption groups, namely the Foodstuffs group and the Transport and Communication group. Inflation occurs in three household consumption groups, namely the processed food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco groups; the Health group and the Education, Recreation and Sports group. There are 2 groups of household consumption that do not experience price changes, namely the Housing and Clothing group.
  • The exchange rate of Agricultural Household Businesses (NTUP) in Jambi Province in February 2019 was 105.96, up 0.68 percent compared to NTUP the previous month.
