Abstract

  • The economy of Jambi Province is based on the amount of Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) on the basis of current prices in 2018 reaching Rp208,378.55 billion and per capita GRDP of Rp.58.36 million.
  • The economy of Jambi Province in 2018 compared to the previous year (c-to-c) grew 4.71 percent. In terms of production, growth was driven by almost all business fields, with the highest growth coming from Information and Communication at 7.74 percent. While in terms of expenditure, it was mainly driven by the Inventory Component, which grew by 16.03 percent.
  • The economy of Jambi Province in the fourth quarter of 2018 grew 4.77 percent compared to the same quarter the previous year (y-on-y). In terms of production, growth was driven by almost all business fields, with the highest growth being achieved by Mining and Excavation Businesses which grew 8.13 percent. In terms of expenditure, the highest growth was achieved by the component of LNPRT consumption expenditure which grew by 14.11 percent.
  • Economy of Jambi Province quarter IV-2018 if compared to quarter III-2018 (q-to-q) increased by 3.06 percent. In terms of production, the highest growth was in the Construction Business Field at 8.85 percent. While in terms of expenditure, it was achieved by the Government Consumption Expenditure component which increased significantly by 50.43 percent.
  • The economic structure of Jambi Province in 2018 was dominated by Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries which gave the largest contribution to GDP, which amounted to 27.57 percent. Followed by Mining and Excavation of 20.17 percent. While on the expenditure side, GDP is widely used for the Export Expenditure Component of 73.79 percent.
