Abstract

The need for data in development planning and evaluating government performance is urgently needed. The need for up to date, accurate and continuous data will produce measurable and targeted development. Data regarding socio-economic conditions is needed to provide an overview of development achievements and can also be used by policy makers to evaluate development programs. Data related to people's living needs such as clothing, food, shelter, education, health, security and employment opportunities are needed to find out how far development results have reached all levels of society.
The National Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas) is designed to produce socio-economic data such as population data, education, health, fertility and family planning, housing, crime, socio-culture, travel, and public perceptions regarding household welfare. Starting in 2015, Susenas data collection was carried out twice a year, namely in March and September and this publication was published based on the results of the March 2024 Susenas.
Publication of People's Welfare Statistics for 2024 is presented in the form of percentage figures for a population disaggregated by Regency/City and area of residence so that data users can find out differences in welfare levels between regions. A number of data are also differentiated according to gender to meet the needs of gender gap analysis.
With the publication of this book, it is hoped that the need for statistical data on people's welfare can be largely met. To all parties who have participated in making this publication possible, thank you.
