Abstract

  • The economy of Jambi Province based on the amount of Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) based on current prices in the third quarter of 2019 reached Rp54 441.4 billion and at the base of constant prices in 2010 reached Rp37 503.1 billion.
  • The economy of Jambi Province in the third quarter of 2019 grew 4.31 percent (y-on-y). From the production side, growth was driven by all business fields, with the highest growth being achieved by Business Fields, namely Health Services and Social Activities which grew 10.43 percent. In terms of expenditure, the highest growth was achieved by the PK-P Component, which grew by 37.61 percent.
  • The economy of Jambi Province in the third quarter of 2019 increased by 1.35 percent (q-to-q). In terms of production, the highest growth was 6.66 percent in the Electricity and Gas Procurement Business Field. While in terms of expenditure achieved by the Government Consumption Expenditure Components which increased significantly by 22.73 percent.
  • The economy of Jambi Province in the third quarter of 2019 (c-to-c) grew 4.54 percent. From the production side, growth is driven by all business sectors, with the highest growth coming from Wholesale and Retail Trade; Car and Motorcycle Repair by 8.50 percent. Meanwhile, in terms of expenditure, it was mainly driven by PK-P Components, which grew by 22.54 percent.
  • The economic structure of Jambi Province in the third quarter of 2019 was dominated by Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries which gave the largest contribution to the GRDP, which amounted to 28.10 percent. Followed by Mining and Quarrying at 17.58 percent. While on the expenditure side, the GRDP is widely used for the Export Component and PK-RT respectively by 58.50 percent and 45.99 percent.
