Abstract

The 2017 Indonesian Democracy Index (IDI) reached 74.12 on a scale of 0 to 100. This number increased with the 2016 IDI figure of 68.89. The achievement of Indonesia's democratic performance which is still in the "medium" category. Classifications of democratic levels are grouped into three categories, namely "good" (index> 80), "medium" (index 60 - 80), and "bad" (index <60).

· Change in the number of Indonesian Democracy Index (IDI) from 2016-2017 by three aspects of democracy, namely (1) Civil Liberties which rose 2.42 points (from 84.39 to 86.81), (2) Political Rights dropped 3 , 55 points (from 65.63 to 62.08), and (3) Institutions of democracy rose by 20.69 points (from 54.58 to 77.27).
