Abstract

  • A total of 1,846.43 thousand inhabitants of Jambi are labor force, the number increased 54.15 thousand people from February 2017. Accordingly, the Labor Force Participation Rate (LFPR) also increased by 0.42 points.
  • In the last year, unemployment increased by 1.77 thousand people, while TPT fell by 0.01 points. Viewed from the education level, TPT for the educated population DI / II / III is highest among other education level, that is equal to 7.93 percent, followed by the population with educated SMK equal to 7.78 percent.
  • The working population of 1,778.96 thousand people increased by 52.39 thousand from February 2017. Sectors that experienced an increase in the percentage of the population working mainly in the Provision of Accommodation and Drinking Sector (1.34 points), Education Services Sector (1 , 03 points), Pegaged Industry Sector (0.8 points), Construction Sector (0.61), Government Administration, Defense and Social Security (0.5 Points), Electricity, Gas, Water and Waste Management Sector (0, 36 points), Information Services, Communications, Real Estate, Company Services (0.26) and Transportation sector (0.07). Meanwhile, the sectors that experienced a decline were Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Sector (3.10 points), Trade Sector Sector (0.96 points), Health and Social Services Sector (0.72), Mining and Quarrying Sector ( 0.10 points) and Other Service Sectors (0.08).
