Abstract

  • Human development in Jambi Province in 2017 continues to progress as marked by the ever-increasing Human Development Index (HDI). By 2017, the Jambi Provincial HDI has reached 69.99. This figure increased by 37 points compared to the 2016 IPM of 69.62.
  • In 2017, the status of human development in Jambi Province is still "moderate", still the same as the level of status in 2016. Jambi Province's HDI in 2017 grew by 0.53 percent compared to 2016.
  • During the period 2016 to 2017, the components of IPM are also increasing. Newborns have an opportunity to live up to 70.76 years; an increase of 0.05 years compared to the previous year. 7-year-olds have an opportunity to attend school for 12.87 years, an increase of 0.15 years compared to 2016. Meanwhile, the population aged 25 years and over on average have been educated for 8.15 years, increased by 0, 08 years compared to the previous year. The per capita expenditure adjusted (constant 2012 prices) of the community has reached 9,880 million rupiahs by 2017, an increase of 85 thousand rupiah compared to the previous year
